At this year's NEEDS Conference 2022 in Copenhagen, Theresa Zimmermann and Sara Merkes gave a presentation in the context of the ATLAS-ENGAGE project entitled "Whose disaster? Disaster involvement as a conflicted field between cooperation and competition" with contributions from Stephan Lorenz. The presentation dealt with structural conflicts as well as potentials of cooperation between different volunteering groups in population protection contexts. It was embedded in the panel "Involving people in emergency response".
