Between 28 February and 2 March 2017, Prof. Dr. Martin Voss visited the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in New Delhi, where he took part in workshops along with two research associates of the Disaster Research Unit (DRU), Lena Bledau and Himani Upadhyay. The event took place within the framework of the Indo-German projects of the DRU (FloodEvac, INVOLVE and Sense4Metro). Their hitherto results were discussed while new cooperations were planned.

In addition, Prof. Voss, Ms. Bledau and Ms. Upadhyay conducted conversations with the leading team of the National Catastrophe Management Department (NDMA) as well as with the coordinator of the South Asian section of the International Red Cross and the General Secretary of the Indian Red Cross.
