Jun.-Prof. María Piquer-Rodriguez published together with Roxana Aragón (UNT-CONICET, Argentina), Silvia Pacheco (ProYungas Fundation, Argentina), Sebastián Malizia (ProYungas Fundation, Argentina) and Hernán Zunino (The Nature Conservancy, Argentina) an articled in Regional Environmental Change.

The publication titled "Co-production of sustainability indicators in a vulnerable South American agricultural frontier" used a participatory exercise based on knowledge co-production to generate sustainable entrepreneurial strategies. It tested this approach in the Argentinean Dry Chaco, a region facing high deforestation from soybean farming. The project emphasized the importance of including local stakeholders' priorities to improve sustainability in food systems.
