MSc Ahuvit Trumper received Rufford Grant

News from Jan 10, 2025

We are happy to announce that Ahuvit Trumper, doctoral candidate of the Modelling Human-Environmental Interactions Group has been awarded the Rufford Grant for her work on "Defining Social-Ecological Well-Being for the Alto Paraná Atlantic Forest" in South America.

This project aims to define the concept of Social-Ecological Well-Being (SEWB) within the Alto Paraná Atlantic Forest (APAF) through a participatory, bottom-up approach. SEWB integrates ecological and human dimensions, acknowledging the interconnectedness of environmental and social systems. By incorporating the perspectives of local communities, conservation practitioners, and other local actors, the project seeks to develop an inclusive framework to guide conservation and sustainable development efforts in the region.

The Rufford Grant allows for fieldwork and workshop in the study region in 2025. Congratulations!
