Prof. Munjed Al Sharif and Prof. Arwa Abdelhay from the School of Natural Resources Engineering and Management, German Jordanian University visited the Freie Universität Berlin on 21st and 22nd November 2022 under the framework of the ongoing BMBF research project at the Hydrogeology Working Group, titled ‘Water Security in Jordan: From Data to Decision (WaterD2D)’.
As part of the capacity building activities, the guests visited the Berlin Water Works (Berliner Wasserbetriebe, BWB) Drinking Water Treatment Facility at Beelitzhof, and the Sewage Treatment Plant at Ruhleben. They also learnt about Berlin’s Urban Water Cycle during the discussions with the Water Supply/ Water Management Division of BWB.
