Unfortunately, the closure of the Meteorological Library has to be extended.

The continuation of the opening of the Meteorological Library depends on the planned future filling of two E3 positions, which still have to be approved by the Presidential Office of the FU and then advertised. This process is likely to take some time. At the same time, due to current staff shortages in the library, there is insufficient capacity to guarantee the opening of the Meteorology Library. The staff of both library locations will be pooled in the Earth Sciences Library to maintain library services.
 
The library team will continue to look after the needs of the staff and students of the Institute of Meteorology and the entire Department of Earth Sciences and will work to ensure an adequate supply of literature.
