1 Introduction to the GEE
The Google Earth Engine (GEE) is a cloud-based computing and analysis tool for (geo-)spatial data, powered by the Google Cloud Platform. It can freely be used by everyone to view, compute and evaluate satellite data, and is therefore convenient for scientists, organizations and teaching matters alike.
The Google Earth Engine also features a public data catalog, cloud-based computing power capable of handling planetary-scale analysis, geospatial JavaScript, Python and REST APIs and a wide array of handy apps to alter your working experience.
