DIES Programme
DIES (Dialogue in Innovative Higher Education Strategies) is an initiative by the DAAD in cooperation with the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK) that supports higher education institutions in developing countries.
Objectives
The DIES programme aims at

international exchange of experiences on issues of higher education policy
-
increased partnership between universities in developed and developing countries on higher education management.

Tools
The program's objectives are implemented through various measures which can improve the quality and relevance of higher education (see also right figure):
- DIES – information: seminars, information visits and conferences;
- DIES – advanced training: training and intensive courses;
- DIES – structural support: partnerships and projects
Among the various activities which are carried out in the framework of DIES are the proposal writing training courses.
