On November 9, 2023, Dr. Katja Schulze will present recommendations on "Making weather warnings more effective" at the German Meteorological Service (DWD).

The recommendations were developed as part of the WEXICOM III project based on literature research, workshops, a quick response study and three nationwide representative population surveys. It presents information for the formulation of weather warnings for the population as a whole as well as for specific population groups. In addition, findings regarding the dissemination of weather warnings, the general dialog with the population and future research needs are presented.

This is followed by a discussion on the utilization of the findings and future cooperation in WEXICOM IV.
