The INCREASE project consortium recently convened in Würzburg, on November 25–26, for a pivotal project meeting. Hosted by the University of Würzburg's Institute for Geography and Geology, the event brought together INCREASE project’s partners as well as experts and practitioners from the institutions involved in this four-year initiative funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
As the project approaches its conclusion in January 2025, the meeting provided an opportunity to re-assess progress and refine strategies to ensure impactful outcomes. Discussions centered on the development of the INCREASE’s approach to Integrated Disaster Risk Management (IDRM), as well as on urban resilience strategies, and bridging gaps between theoretical knowledge and practical disaster management.
