Fabian Fassnacht, Tamalika Chakraborty and Miriam Herrmann are visiting the IUFRO world congress in Stockholm, Sweden, this week.

IUFRO, the International Union of Forest Research Organisations, is a network uniting more than 15.000 scientists and more than 100 nations. The IUFRO world congress is held every 4 to 5 years. This year's congress runs under the theme "forests & society towards 2050" and aims at tackling challenges like climate change, globalization or population growth.

Our group presented talks and posters on synthetic laser scanning data, mapping surface fuels using terrestrial laser scanning, and the physiological response of beech to drought stress.
