The project „Towards the inversion of tectonic signals from deep-marine archives: Competing tectonic signal propagation from across the Alps into the marine sink” is now funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).

Our project on the eastern Molasse Basin (Austria) in cooperation with RAG Austria was funded by the DFG (BE5070/7-1). The project aims to improve our understanding of how fast large-scale tectonic signals are transported towards the deep-marine sedimentary sink and how these signals are preserved in the sink. This project is part of Julian Hülschers doctoral thesis. First results will be presented on the upcoming Alpine Workshop in September in Sion.
