Rock and mineral collection
The collections are located on the FU Geocampus in House C. The display collections are open to the public.
The rock and mineral collection at the Free University is even younger than the university itself. It was first developed in the 1950s under the first chair holder K.R. Built several times. Afterwards it grew through discoveries on excursions, gifts and exchanges. In recent years the collection has been significantly expanded through the transfer of three large private collections.
The petrographic and mineralogical collection of the Free University is made up of various sub-collections.
