Evening Lecture GeoBerlin 2023
Evening lecture in the Henry Ford Building on the topic "The Anthropocene - How humans have acted geologically - and should act in the future".
News from Aug 28, 2023
Since industrialization, humans have become one of the most important forces on our planet, profoundly changing the Earth's climate, landscapes, and ecosystems. How can we live without exceeding the planetary carrying capacity limits of the Earth? What contribution can the geosciences make to this? What can we learn from Earth's history? And how can we shape a sustainable future? Climate researcher Prof. Ricarda Winkelmann (Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research) and geochemist Prof. Friedhelm von Blanckenburg (Deutsches GeoForschungsZentrum Potsdam) will discuss this on September 4, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Henry Ford Building of Freie Universität Berlin, Garystraße 35, 14195 Berlin-Dahlem, Audimax.
The discussion will be held in German, is open to the public, and admission is free.
