In November and December 2012 a team of Freie Universität Berlin and University of Yaounde implemented the project "Integrated Watershed Management Research and Capacity Building"in the Upper Mefou Subcatchment in Cameroon and carried out field research. 

During the first week projekt implementation activities were carried out and a stakeholder workshop was held in the chosen research catchment (see pictures). An introduction to the project and the approach of Integrated Watershed Management was given and the stakeholders and the project team discussed about the project goals, the problems in the catchment and the research plans of the students (see report of the stakeholder meeting).
