The first training workshop on “Integrated Watershed Management – a tool for Urban Water Security” within the project “Integrated Watershed Management for Urban Water Security” was held in Manafwa, Uganda, in March 2014.

The focus was on assessment of watershed management challenges in the Manafwa Sub-catchment and their impacts on water quality and quantity (see programme). Participants were lecturers and students from East African Universities, the Ugandan Ministry of Water and Environment, the local government and staff from a water treatment plant.
