Working Group Climate System Modeling
Head of the working group: Prof. Dr. Ulrich Cubasch (Tel.: 030-838-71217)
Climate models are being used, in order to understand the complex reciprocal effect of the climate system and to forecast the future. For this reason, it is about using different models (global, regional, local) which have to be conducted, improved and evaluated.
The main research areas are the present and past climate (palaeoclimatology), the climate of the future and the reciprocal effects between different compacts, e.g. the sun and the climate on earth.
