Introduction
Welcome to the course on Geomorphological Response to Climate Change (GRCC).
In this chapter 'startinformation' the addressees of this module, the module contents and the objectives of the module are explained. Furthermore, the authors of the Geomorphological Respone to Climate Change-Module are introduced.
Addresses
This course is an elective for the third year students who have already done a course in Physical Geography comprising of the geosystem components namely: atmosphere, lithosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere.
Module contents
iThis course goes behind the above-mentioned basics to look at the dynamics of interactions between climate change and Geomorphology. The course introduces you the possible geomorphological responses to climate change. Therefore, in the next chapter you will learn about climate change:
- What is climate change?
- causes of climate change;
- global warming
- theories
- consequences and
- do a test about climate change.
Afterwards the geomorphological responses to climate change are explained:
